Sonic Radiation

Posted on May 20, 2018 at 3:10 PM

With one eye on the past and one eye towards the future, Sonic Radiation constructs exciting electronic dance music that is both intriguing and captivating while holding true to the roots of the genre. While constantly creating tools for the modern dj's arsenal and reinterpreting remixing projects, Sonic Radiation forges ahead with a vision towards the future of electronic music. The vision started by experimenting for two years to create high energy music that was released as The 121 Project. Formed in 2003, the Dallas, Texas based artist, Todd Last, worked to create music that arranges songs with a combination of techno and trance that are solid and unique. Inspired by industrial groups like Front 242 and Front Line Assembly, electronic groups like The Crystal Method and Astral Projection, as well as the Dallas club scene, Sonic Radiation pulls from those styles to give the listener something for the ear, the mind and the dance floor.
Sonic Radiation returns after nearly a decade of discovery with more subsonic mixtures named Dimixides. IUnknown Records and Sonic Radiation present Dimixides, an electromagnetic transmission of sonic energy in wave form and function. Enhanced ultrasound spectrals emit high frequency sound waves into the mind and body continuing the principle of signaling in electronic systems.

Razors Through Flesh

Posted on March 16, 2018 at 6:30 PM

The sound of Razors Through Flesh has been described as, “Jagged,” “Haunting,” “razor sharp,” and “warped.” The project was born in the wake of unimaginable personal tragedy and captures the despair and despondency of that moment. The genre-bending sound of Razors Through Flesh is best described as Drum and Bass with a streak of Industrial, a bit of Future Bass, and a touch of Dubstep. Sometimes dark and hauntingly melodic, sometimes driven with a manic energy, and sometimes a bit tongue-in-cheek, they manage to capture and explore intensely dark topics with gravity while managing to avoid taking themselves too seriously. Razors through flesh was meant to capture the unbearableness of the suffering of strangers and the agony of friends. After all, “There is a secret song at the center of the world […] and it’s sound is the sound of razors through flesh.” (Hellraiser 3)

Her first album, “Take Drugs, Kill your Boyfriend!” (available from online retailers now!) is a true solo project: produced, mixed, and mastered personally (even the photography and graphic design!). “Take Drugs, Kill your Boyfriend!” is shaped both by her own intrinsic darkness and the life experiences that inspire it, as seen through the lens of horror, sci-fi, and low-budget cinema. It’s available for streaming on Soundcloud and for purchase on iTunes now, and will be available on other platforms by March 21st.

In ancient Greece, the Greeks covered their bread with oils, herbs and cheese which some believe is the beginning of the “pizza”.

In Byzantine Greek, the word was spelled “πίτα”, pita, meaning pie.

A sheet of dough topped with cheese and honey, then flavored with bay leaves was developed by the Romans.

The modern pizza had its beginning in Italy as the Neapolitan flatbread.

The original pizza used only mozzarella cheese, mainly the highest quality buffalo mozzarella variant which was produced in the surroundings of Naples.

It was estimated that the annual production of pizza cheese in the United States in 1997 was 2 billion pounds.

The first United States pizza establishment opened in 1905 was in New York’s Little Italy.

Pizza has become one of America’s favorite meals.
